Worship Service

Every time we gather together as members of God’s family in our services, we are invited to respond anew to God’s call in Christ to follow him. In our public worship, God renews us, heals us, blesses us and sends us.

We especially value the love and warmth of gathering together. We encourage all generations to participate in our services; from seniors to youth sharing faith-experiences, prayers or celebrating milestones together, to our children dancing to our worship songs! We value being renewed and refreshed through God’s Spirit through singing, praying, prophecy and preaching centred on God’s Word.

We value:

• creating space for the gifts and workings of the Spirit in all aspects of our worship

• children and young adults participating and leading in services

• helping everyone feel welcome throughout the service

When: Sunday mornings at 10am

Where: The church auditorium

Cost: No cost.

Kids’ Church

Children and adults join together for the first part of our service, then the children and their leaders head out the ‘secret door’ to the auditorium for Bible lessons, stories, games and morning tea. Caregivers are welcome to join us, especially if a child needs a settling in period.

Creche

Children of all ages are welcomed at St John’s. A creche can be provided for younger children as the need arises. For a parent who would like to separate a fussing or feeding baby, the ‘Ark’ is a sound-proof room at the back of the church with large glass windows and a speaker that can be used as needed. It is equipped with toys, puzzles and books for youngsters.
